A new documentary, Minecraft: Into the Nether, will look at the lives of Minecraft streamers and Let's Players whose videos featuring them playing the global phenomenon building game have earned them millions of subscribers and billions of video views.

Along the way, the documentary will explore the rise of the huge fan communities and gala events that have sprung up around this unassuming experimental game.

Minecraft: Into the Nether will be released via iTunes and other view-on-demand services on January 27.
