Ever since it was announced back in March that X-Files would be returning for a six-episode run, we've been holding our breath. Will it reignite all of our conspiracy theory fires? Will the magic still be there? Will it give us more fodder for our fanfic? Now, we finally have a (very brief) glimpse of what the new X-Files will look like.
The clip above, which aired on Fox during Wayward Pines, doesn't give away much—Mulder (David Duchovny) looks around a corner! Someone is dragging something! There's an injection! Scully (Gillian Anderson) has a gun!—but it's proof that this show is actually happening. That’s enough for us.
The new X-Files "event series" will begin airing Jan. 24, 2016. We want to believe this will be amazing.
