8 of Your Favorite Cult Movies Brought to Life as 8-Bit GIFs

Folks have been turning the best scenes from flicks into GIFs for as long as GIFs have been hot. But this collection by Slovakia-based artist Dusan Cezek takes the idea to a whole other level.

Folks have been turning the best scenes from flicks into GIFs for as long as GIFs have been hot. But this collection by Slovakia-based artist Dusan Cezek takes the idea to a whole other level. He takes memorable characters and/or moments from iconic films—from Kevin Smith's Clerks to Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou—and turns them into sweet little 8-bit animated versions. "It combines my two passions: directing and illustration," Cezek says. "I started this project to create very, very short movies with proper atmosphere and scene -- pixel art and GIFs were perfect for it." Our personal favorite? His take on David Fincher's Fight Club, which shows Edward Norton's narrator crying into Bob's breasts while Tyler Durden flickers for a split-second off to the side.
