This year's IFA Berlin could have easily mistaken for an edition of the Mobile World Congress. There were LOTS of phones. But we found a wide array of gadgets worth considering.

This year's IFA—Berlin's massive end-of-summer consumer electronics show—could have easily mistaken for an edition of the Mobile World Congress. Usually dominated by home appliances and home theater products, all the excitement in the media and in the expo hall was centered around new smartphones and phablets.

Samsung, Huawei, Sony and Microsoft and even ASUS, Haier and Acer have unveiled new mobile products, leaving appliances and PCs behind. Televisions, once the industry's bread and butter, were just a small presence.

However, wondering around the million and a half square feet of the Messe, we've managed to find many products worth mentioning: cooking and cleaning robots, audio equipment, and various gadgets we suddenly felt the urgency to have. And of course, some phones. (OK, a lot of phones.) This is a selection of the best.
