"Why don't you just tell us your name?" someone asks near the end of the first full trailer for Netflix's forthcoming Luke Cage. But we viewers are already very familiar with Mike Colter's contemplative (and somewhat reluctant) uptown hero, thanks to Luke's scene-stealing, stomach-sawing turn in last year's Jessica Jones. This extended look at Cage's solo series, which premieres Sept. 30, is awash in beloved characters (including Mahershala Al as baddie Cottonmouth, and Rosario Dawson as Marvel mainstay Claire Temple/Night Nurse); quick nods to such Black-culture icons as Walter Mosley and Notorious B.I.G.; and, of course, lots of body-tossing, door-busting, goon-punching, bullet-defying action. "I just want to be left the hell alone," Cage says at one point. But we have a feeling that, come next month, everyone going to be on the lookout for Luke Cage—and for Luke Cage.
